Strategy workflow
No indicators, predictions or discretionary decisions. The EA follows the same eight mechanical rules every session.
DAX ORB records the exact High and Low of the DAX index candle from 09:15 to 09:30 Romania time.
At 09:30, the EA places a Buy Stop at the range High and a Sell Stop at the range Low, then sizes the position from your selected risk.
The opposite side of the opening range becomes the Stop Loss, while Take Profit is calculated automatically at three times the risk.
If the first two trades are stopped, DAX ORB takes one final re-entry in the first trade's direction. The session ends after a Take Profit or the third attempt.
Why automate the strategy
The EA finds and records the 09:15–09:30 DAX opening range automatically, including summer and winter time handling.
Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders are placed directly at the confirmed High and Low of the reference candle.
Choose how much you want to risk and DAX ORB calculates the position size from the real Stop Loss distance.
Every setup follows the same range-based Stop Loss and predefined 1:3 risk-to-reward target.
After two stopped trades, the EA can execute the strategy's third and final attempt in the first trade's direction.
Trading ends after a Take Profit or after all three attempts, so the strategy cannot continue beyond its daily rules.

DAX ORB is intentionally focused: one DAX index opening-range strategy, one repeatable daily sequence and no manual order management between its steps.
DAX ORB is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that trades a defined opening-range breakout strategy on the DAX index. Depending on the broker or prop firm, the DAX instrument may be labelled GER40, DE40, DAX40, DAX30 or Germany 40. The EA reads the reference M15 range, places the breakout orders and manages the complete daily sequence.
The EA uses the High and Low of the 15-minute DAX candle from 09:15 to 09:30 Romania time. The range is confirmed only after that candle closes.
A Buy Stop is placed at the range High and a Sell Stop at the range Low. The opposite side of the range is used as the Stop Loss, and Take Profit is calculated at 3R.
Yes. You set the amount you want to risk, and the EA calculates the position size from that risk and the distance between Entry and Stop Loss.
The strategy allows a maximum of three trades per day. If the first two trades are stopped, the third and final trade is a re-entry in the direction of the first triggered trade.
No trading software can guarantee profits. DAX ORB executes the defined strategy consistently, but market conditions, spread and execution can still produce losses.
